Synopsis
Williamstown’s feat of winning five premierships in six years in the former Victorian Football Association is arguably the best effort by any club since finals were introduced in 1903. In addition the Seagulls reached the finals in each of the 10 years from 1953-62, becoming the first club to spend an entire decade as a finalist. Author Marc Fiddian analyses how Williamstown achieved its success and the people who made it happen.
