Synopsis
A Walk Down the AFL’s Memory Lane is a fascinating series of essays on league football. Topics covered include: Hawthorn’s “Coming of Age”; Geelongs 23 consecutive wins; the Collingwood V Melbourne rivalry: “tagging”, when did it begin? Some of the games foremost players are discussed, such as John Coleman, Jack Regan and Polly Farmer. Other less known but equally as interesting characters are also discussed such as Fitzroy ruckman Frank Curcio who played the game hard before heading off to play the violin in a city orchestra.
